Frank Rucinski Jr., 85, of Becida, MN died Sunday, April 30, 2017 at his home.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Wilton with Fr. Jerry Rogers officiating. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday, May 5, 2017 at the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home, Bemidji and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Wilton.
Frank Stanley Rucinski Jr. was born August 20, 1931 in Minneapolis, MN to Frank and Judith Rucinski Sr. As a young boy Junior’s family moved from Minneapolis to Becida, MN. He attended Sunny Hill School through eighth grade. He was drafted into the U.S. Army where he served from 1953 to 1955 in England. After his service he came back home to the family farm and became a logger along with his brother, Ben and continued that until his retirement in 2007. Junior was a life-long member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Wilton. He enjoyed playing cards and was a voracious reader and ice cream eater. He really enjoyed spending time with his family especially his nieces and nephews.
He is survived by his brothers, Ralph Rucinski of Warren, Ben (Lois) Rucinski of Becida, Ed (Joy) Rucinski of Becida and Ray Rucinski of Becida; sister-in-law, Emilie Rucinski of Bemidji; nieces and nephews, Amanda (Jeff) Rubin (Sam & Becca); Amy (Ted) Mart (Ben, Cara, Shayla and Levi); Joe (Kailey) Rucinski (Teagan) and Molly (Brice) Vollbrecht.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Walter Rucinski.
