William “Bill” Rice, 77, of Bemidji, MN died Thursday, September 10, 2020 at Sanford Bemidji Medical Center.

Private family services will be held later.

William Anthony Rice III was born June 30, 1943 to William Anthony and Inez Rice II. Bill serviced his county in the Army National Guard. He was a man of business in Bemidji throughout his lifetime. Bill was a member, commander and manager of the American Legion. On December 29, 1962 he married Valeria Cooper in Bemidji at St. Philips Catholic Church. He was loved by his family and friends.

He is survived by his children, Theresa Vojak, William “Tony” Rice IV and Michael Rice; grandchildren, Anthony (Marta Begay) Rice, Kaitlyn (Tyler) Roberg, Miranda Vojak, Brett Rice and Brooke Rice; great-grandchildren, William Rice VI and Leona Roberg; siblings, Nancy (Bill) Frakes, Ginny (Jim) Cordie, Jane Johnson, Jim (Jane Reckow) Rice, Paul (Rhonda) Rice, Inez (Piet) Nouwen and Mary (Mark) Gilbertson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Valeria.
