Vickie Renae (Young) Nord

Vickie Nord, 64, of Bemidji, MN died Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Sanford Medical Center, Bemidji.

Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, September 4, 2021 at Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home, Bemidji. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Bemidji.

Vickie Renae Young was born March 24, 1956 in Bagley, MN to Dwayne & Geraldine Young.  She grew up and attended school in Bemidji.  Vickie went on to attend Northwest Technical College and acquired a clerical degree.  She then went to work for the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources within their business office and would remain there until her retirement in August 2013 after working there for 38 years.  Vickie loved life and lived it to it’s fullest.  She enjoyed spending time in her yard, her music collection and especially loved being with her children, grandchildren, and extended family and friends whenever she could.  Vickie cherished times with family at her beloved home on Campbell Lake.  Her biggest joy was laughter.

She is survived by son, Eran (Marcie) Young; daughter, Brandy (Jesse) Liedman; grandchildren, Landon, Elayna, Samuel and Oliver Young and Dillon & Brady Jeworrek; father, Dwayne (Gwen) Young; mother, Geraldine “Gerry” Young; brothers, Kevin, Kyle (Connie), Kory Young and numerous nieces & nephews.  She is preceded in death by special friend, Geno Lovering, and his contagious laugh; grandparents; 2 aunts, 3 uncles and a cousin. 

Memorials preferred to Itasca State Park in memory of Vickie Nord.
