Verna Marian (Lien) Burnham Loiland

Verna Loiland, 89, of Bemidji, MN died Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at Tender Hearts, Blackduck.

Private family burial will be held at Meadowview Cemetery, Solway.

Verna Marian Lien was born September 22, 1933 in Sisseton, SD to Theodore and Margaret (Thompson) Lien.  She retired after many years of working at Bemidji City Hall as a receptionist. Verna loved spending time with her family. She also loved music, dancing and playing cards.

She is survived by her daughters, Vicki (Steve) Jewett, Wendy (Mark) Gullicksrud and Lori (Roger) Petersen; sons, Kelly (Tammy) Erwin and Cory Erwin; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Sherry Lien; sister and brother-in-law Joanne (Vernon) Voeltz.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 husbands, Eugene Erwin, Arthur Burnham and Gordon Loiland; 5 brothers, Aron Lien, Ingvald Lien, Thelmer Lien, Laurence Lien and Ernest Lien  and 2 sisters, Inez Winger and Esther Vold.
