Velda Mae (Mohler) Winch

Velda Winch, 88, of Bemidji, MN died Monday, August 16, 2021 at Havenwood Care Center, Bemidji.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August, 24, 2021 at River City Church, Becida, MN with Pastor Joseph Haugen officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Fern Township Cemetery, Becida, MN.

Velda Mae Mohler was born November 22, 1932 in Bemidji, MN to Lawrence and Agnes Mohler. She married Elmer Winch in July of 1949 until his death in October 2017. Velda worked at Bemidji Hospital for 32 years when she retired to travel and do things with her husband. She enjoyed sewing, card games, getting together for family gatherings and she was always the one preparing for the gatherings. Velda moved to Havenwood Care Center where she spent the last few years of her life where she enjoyed being with friends of her age until her passing. She will be loved and missed.

She is survived by her children, Valerie Gothberg of Bemidji, Tom (Theresa) Winch of Bemidji and Donna Winch of Bemidji and grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elmer and son, James Winch.
