Valeria Rice, 77, of Bemidji, MN died Thursday, September 3, 2020 at Sanford Bemidji Medical Center.

Private family services will be held later.

Valeria Joan Cooper was born August 30, 1943. In Bemidji, Mn to George and Clara Cooper. She grew up and graduated from Bemidji High School in 1961. On December 29, 1962 she married William Rice in Bemidji at St. Philips Catholic Church. She worked at Lake Julia Nursing Home and later Beltrami Nursing Home. Valeria loved nature, hummingbirds and her dachshunds. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and crafting.

She is survived by her husband William “Bill” Rice; daughter, Theresa Vojak; sons, William “Tony” Rice IV and Michael Rice; grandchildren, Anthony Rice, Kaitlyn Rice Roberg, Miranda Vojak, Brett Rice and Brooke Rice; great-grandchildren, William Rice VI and Leona Roberg; siblings, Shirley Sutherland, Bernice (George) McNeely, Lorraine Harmon and Beverly (Max) Boyer and she so loved her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Kenneth Cooper.
