Tony (Thomas) Torgeson Jr.

Tony (Thomas) Torgeson, Jr., 68, of Bemidji, MN died Friday, October 29, 2021, at M Health Fairview, Minneapolis.

Memorial Services will be 4:00 p.m., Friday, November 5, 2021, at Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home, Bemidji. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service.

Tony Torgeson was born June 9, 1953, to Thomas & Gladys in Bemidji. He grew up and attended J.W. Smith Elementary School and graduated from Bemidji High School in 1971. After high school Tony worked for The Bemidji Pioneer and then worked out in North Dakota where he installed steel siding. He came back to Bemidji and went to work for Grizzly Truss and remained working there until 2014. Tony’s spare time was spent fishing, hunting, working in his wood shop and working on his cars. His grandchildren held a loving place in his heart.

He is survived by his wife Liz; children, Troy (Sarah Anderson) Torgeson and Chantel (Rob) Cartier; grandchildren, Hannah & Hayden Cartier; Becky (Ben) Fellows; brother, John (Sissie Herr) Torgeson; sisters, Roxanne (Bill) Glidden and LeAnn (EJ Kilde) Torgeson; brother-in-law, Martin (Kari Klema) Ubert; many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bruce; sister, Sandy Strowbridge.
