Timothy John Schummer

Timothy J. Schummer, 63, died of natural causes October 18, 2022, at his home.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Bemidji Eagles Club from 2pm-5pm on October 25 2022.

He was born January 12, 1959, in Bemidji Minnesota to John "Jack" A. Schummer and Fay M. (Gatten) Schummer

Timothy went to Guthrie School and then Bemidji High School. Following high school he served with the U.S. Marine Corps, stationed in Iceland as a machine gunner. He worked as a logger, as an auto mechanic, and as a concrete mason.

He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed motorcycles and music, and spending time watching true crime shows, wheel of fortune and jeopardy with his life partner Sonja.

He lived with his long term life partner of 23 years, Sonja Burger. He was a proud father to his sons Michael and James Schummer and stepson Dale Burger. He had five grandsons Flynn, Terace and Colter (Michael and Teresa Schummer), Jacen (James Schummer) and Rory (Dale Burger).  Two sisters Donna (Rod) Knapper, and Linda Lussier and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers Irvin "Butch" Gatten and James Schummer.
