Timmy Carl White

Timmy White, 61, of Laporte, MN died Sunday, June 7, 2020 from injuries sustained in a 4- wheeler accident.

A Celebration of Life will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 13, 2020 at Schummer’s Backwoods Bar & Grill with Pastor Rick Clyde officiating. Family will greet family and friends one hour prior to the service.

Timmy Carl White was born April 12, 1959 in Bemidji, MN to Harland & Myra White.  He grew up on the family farm and graduated from Laporte High School in 1977.  While in high school, he was a three-sport athlete where he excelled in football, basketball, and baseball.  After graduation, he joined the family logging business.  On September 2, 1978, he married his sweetheart Jolene “Jody” Schummer in Becida, MN. He and Jody operated the Becida Bar for 10 years.  Timmy was also on the Schoolcraft Town Board as well as the Laporte School Board.  He enjoyed hunting, softball, golf, camping and playing cards. 

He is survived by his wife, Jody; children, Jamey White, Tommy (Megan) White and Keila (Spencer) Reimer; mother, Myra Knaffla; siblings, Janie Zyllo, Duane White and Dean (Sandra) White; sister-in-law, Terri White; grandchildren, Ty, Kylee, Noah, Remi, Hunter, Lincoln, baby White and special service dog, Luke.  Timmy is preceded in death by his father, Harland White; twin brother, Tommy, and brother Joel; stepfather Paul Knaffla; his maternal & paternal grandparents; mother and father-in-law, Clarence and Mildred Schummer and brother-in-law, David Zyllo.
