Terry George Fleck

Terry Fleck passed away on July 31, 2022, at his home in Puposky, MN.

Celebration of Life will be 1-3 p.m., Sunday, August 21, 2022 at J.D. Outpost Bar and Grill, Solway.

He was born in New Rockford, ND on October 27, 1953, to Marian (Propst) and Lawrence Fleck Sr. He grew up in Pinewood, MN. He attended Bemidji High School and the Vo-Tech in Detroit Lakes with a degree in auto body repair.

He belonged to Millwright Local #548 Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners in the twin cities. He traveled in MN, ND, WI, IA and IL working in papermills, car plants, and gas/coal/nuclear power plants for 30 years and retired in November of 2009.

In his younger years, he hitch hiked all over the western United States. He had many stories to tell about his adventures and as he would say “there’s a lot of miles on my thumb”. He liked to go camping, fishing, hunting for grouse and deer, listening to country music and standup comedians. He enjoyed vacations in Mexico and the last 2 years soaking up the Arizona sun in the winter.

He is survived by his with Cathy (St. Peter) Fleck, his daughter Holly (John) Waslaski, his son David (Kristan) Fleck, his beloved dog Gracie May, his brother Lawrence (Chuck) Fleck Jr., his grandchildren Mason (Angelica) St. Peter, Amber (Tylor) Waslaski, Kylee and Lexie Fleck, his great-grandchildren Rowan, Holland and Rosella St. Peter and Carter and Aaliyah McPhee, his sisters-in-law Tonneli (Garry) Christianson, Roberta Stout, Gail (Dale) Edman and Denise (Mike) Skipton and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his brother Garry Fleck, his parents Lawrence and Marian Fleck, his son Tony St. Peter, in-laws Les and Helen St. Peter and his brother-in-law Larry St. Peter.
