She was born on December 19, 1947, in East Grand Forks, Minnesota. A brilliant woman—Suzanne graduated from Bemidji High School in 1966 and from Bemidji State University in 1973. She owned and worked as a licensed public accountant at Amble Amble Liapis, PA, and then at Davis Drywall, until her retirement in 2018. Suzanne deeply cherished being with her loved ones, curling, traveling, reading, doing puzzles of all sorts, bowling, and much more. She also made some of her best memories of spending time with the Camperettes and her best friends during their ladies’ weekends. She especially looked forward to meeting with friends from all over the world in Bemidji these last few years. In her selfless nature, she also devoted much of her time to her community. Some of her proudest engagements included being the president of the Bemidji Chamber of Commerce, the president of the Friends of the Carnegie, Trustee of the George W. Neilson Foundation, the president and a longtime member of the Bemidji Ladies Curling Club, and was also the treasurer of Port Hope Township for many, many years. Suzanne is the beloved wife and high-school sweetheart of Michael Liapis; loving mother of Kari (Darren) Erickson, Stacey (Tom) Fuchsgruber, and Robert Liapis; proud grandmother of Zachary (Molly) Erickson, Carson (Katya) Liapis, Calista Liapis, Samantha Fuchsgruber, Samuel Walker Erickson, and Makayla Fuchsgruber; two great-grandchildren; sister-in-law to Marta (David) Sjostrom, Marye Sue (Todd) Norenberg; fond aunt to many nieces and nephews; daughter of the late Stanton (Bud) and Elaine Amble; stepdaughter of the late Rosemary Given Amble, dear sister of the late Gerald (Karen) Amble, the late Marguerite (Don) Newman, the late Linda Amble; special family friend to Bill and Cathy Dessert; and faithful friend to many.
