Susan Marie (Schussman) Sorensen, 75, of Solway, MN died Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Sanford Medical Center, Fargo, ND.
Memorial Services will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 11, 2022 at Solway Bible Chapel. Family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
I was born July 1, 1946 in Bemidji, MN to parents, Harry and Dolly Schussman. I married Larry Sorensen on May 4, 1963. Together they raised 4 sons, Scott, Keith, Terry and Brent. I enjoyed farming, milking cows and baling hay. We both enjoyed horses. Our 1st date was the Effie Rodeo in 1962. I loved rodeo, cooking and canning. My favorite was baking. We were instrumental in bringing the Fellowship of Christian Cowboys to this area. I worked for the Super 8 Motel, Highway Host Restaurant, Countryside Restaurant and School District #31 in food services. I was a 4-H leader for 25 years, member of Solway Bible Chapel and was clerk of Jones Township. Her greatest joy in life was her children, grandkids and great-grandkids.
Survived by sons, Scott, Keith (Tana), Terry and Brent (Amy) all of Solway; grandchildren, Tina (Thor) Vettleson of Clearbrook, Sydney (Kevin Carlson) Sorensen of Bemidji, Wyatt Sorensen of Solway and Keegan Shaver; great-grandchildren, Tesa, Tilden, Reata and Nevada Vettleson; brothers, Pat Schussman, Dick Schussman, Mike (Liz) Schussman and Tony Schussman and sister-in-law, Lu Ree Sampson.
