Stanley H. Haley was born on June 22, 1940 in Minneapolis, MN, to Alford L. and Florence Haley. He graduated from Minneapolis Vocational High School where he learned the printing trade that served him well throughout his lifetime. Stan married Janice, his high school sweetheart, and together they had two children, Christopher and Cindy. He worked for several printing companies in the Twin Cities until the lure of the north woods brought him to Laporte. After a brief stint with Northwoods Log Homes, Stan took a job working at Arrow Printing when it was located in the basement of the old Baptist Church in downtown Bemidji. He soon became a partner, and then owner, when he relocated business to the current location south of town. In his 60 years of printing experience, Stan’s goal has been to provide quality printing with personal service to the Bemidji area and beyond.
Stan was a guy who would go the extra mile to help someone in need. He lived secure in the knowledge that Jesus Christ died for his sins and thereby obtained eternal life for him in Heaven.
Stan is survived by Jan, his wife of 56 years, son Chris (Sherry) Haley, daughter Cindy (Kris Baker) Haley, adopted daughter Necole Morris, grandsons Josh (Paige) Krull, Caleb (Jess) Krull, Tyler Simon, great-grandson Gannon Krull, many nieces and nephews, and a brother Roy (Donna). He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother Al Haley.
Stan requested no funeral, but that his ashes be distributed in his beloved mountains of Montana.
