Shirley Millis Obituary

Shirley Jean (Stay) Millis passed away peacefully at Neilson Place in Bemidji on May 2, 2020.

She was born on February 17, 1930 in Bemidji and graduated from Bemidji High School. She married Ernie Millis in 1950. For many years she worked at the Johnson Corner Drug downtown Bemidji and at Thomas Drug in the Mall. She enjoyed the outdoors and would fish and hunt with her family and friends. In later years she enjoyed sewing, tending her flowers, playing bingo and especially the visits from her grandchildren and others.

Shirley is survived by her daughter Janie (Bruce) Malterud; grandchildren, Duane (Jessica) Malterud and Amanda Malterud; six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Ernest Millis in 1987.
