Shirley Lentz McMaster

Shirley Lentz McMaster, 77, of Bemidji, MN died unexpectedly Wednesday, October 8, 2025.

Visitation will be 3:00 – 5:00pm, Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home, Bemidji, MN. Interment will be in Oak Dale Cemetery, Crookston, MN.

Shirley Lentz was born August 16, 1948, in Thorofare, New Jersey to Ogle & Florence Lentz. This was a rural area and provided the start of her interest in gardening and needle crafts. She graduated from West Deptford High School in 1966 and went on to graduate from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA with a master’s degree in civil engineering. After Shirley's retirement from Bay West, she began to put in full time on her favorite hobbies of Quilting, Gardening, Crossword Puzzles and Jig-saw Puzzle solving. She was wonderful to all of them.

Shirley is survived by her sister, Vivian K. Howe; brothers, Warren H. Lentz, and Randal T. Lentz; special friend, Jeff Kirk; nephew Brennan Howe; and cousins, Beverly (Ken) Betz, Kirby Lentz and family and Kingsley Lentz and family. She was preceded in death by her infant sister Nancy Lentz.
