Sheila Kay (Patch) Lindell "Wieme"

Sheila Kay Lindell “Wieme”, 54, gained her wings on Tuesday, Sept. 12th, 2023, at United Hospital, St. Paul, MN with her loved ones at her side.

Sheila was born Jan. 28th, 1969, in Kanabec County to Rudolph (Rudy) and Karen Patch. The family moved to Blackduck and when she was 9, they settled in Hines, MN. Sheila attended Blackduck school K-12 except for one year when she lived in rural Kelliher with her sister, Shellie and family. Sheila graduated from Blackduck High School in 1987. Sheila and her son Matthew then moved to Minneapolis to be with Brad Lindell. They later moved to Bemidji, had their daughter, Kayla, and were married in May of 1989.

Sheila attended BSU and got a degree in Business Management. Sheila then had two more sons, Michael and Brady. Sheila worked at Anderson Fabrics for many years then moved on to other accounting/bookkeeping jobs throughout the years. Sheila and Brad divorced in 2017 after 27 years of marriage. Sheila decided to pursue a career in nursing. Sheila worked for Sanford Health, Essentia, and recently was a travel nurse.

In 2020, Sheila met her forever love, Greg Wieme. In 2021 they moved in together with their two dogs, Charlie and Lucy, then engaged. Sheila and Greg were set to be married in August of this year but due to Sheila’s health, it was postponed. They never got their big day that they deserved to have.

Sheila was dedicated to taking care of others. She loved her grandkids very much. In the fall, you would find Sheila watching football. Sheila loved watching the MN Vikings, no matter how they were doing, you would hear her yell at that TV from miles away. She enjoyed fishing, watching dirt track racing, camping, taking out the side by side, relaxing at home with her two dogs, watching the hallmark channel and just having a good time with friends and family.

Sheila will be remembered and greatly missed by her beloved Greg, daughter, Kayla (Chuck) Tollefson; son, Brady (Sarah Becker) Lindell; grandkids, Allen, Brynn, Camden, Dannen, and Eklen; sisters, Shellie (Michael) Hagen, Karla (Reed) Anderson; brothers Rudy (Jane) Patch, Kevin, Kelly (Anita) Patch; and many nieces and nephews.

Sheila was welcomed into heaven by her two sons, Matthew and Michael along with her parents, Rudolph and Karen Patch.

A celebration of life will be held at the Bemidji Eagles Club on Fri, Oct. 13th, 2023 @ 4pm.
