Shayne Bock, age 59, of Bemidji, died Wednesday, June 24, 2020 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Shayne was born in Duluth, MN to Donald and Jennifer Bock. Later they moved to Bemidji where Shayne graduated from Bemidji High School. He then attended Staples Technical College earning a degree in heavy equipment operation. He worked for Wilde Construction and Beltrami County Highway Department for 33 years where he also served as a union rep for the 49ers. In 1992, he married Debra McAllister and they made their home in Puposky, MN. Shayne loved doing so many things including cooking, fishing, hunting, gardening, 4 wheeling and visiting with neighbors. Shayne was ready and willing to help Deb with any honey-do project without any complaints and was always willing to help family and friends with any project. Shayne was the voice of reason and inspiration of the Bock family. When a family member slipped or fell down in the struggle of life, all they had to do was look up at Shayne. He lived his live on the straight and narrow path, giving all an example to follow. Shayne was proceeded in death by his grandparents Arnie and Flora Bock of Puposky, and Ole and Elda Olander of Crosby, and his brother Doug Bock of Bemidji. He is survived by his wife Debra Bock of Bemidji; parents Don and Jen Bock of Bemidji; brother Steven and Kristine Bock of Cimarron, KS; brother Darren and Marie Bock of Bemidji; brother Nathan and Shauna Bock of Mounds View; 18 nieces and nephews; 1 great niece; and Ringo. A private service for family will be held on Saturday, July 18 at 10:00 AM at the Turtle Lake Township Cemetery. After the service, there will be a celebration of Shayne’s life held at Darren and Marie Bock’s at: 14829 Puposky Rd NW, Bemidji. All friends are welcome to attend the celebration of life.
