Sandy Anderson

Sandra (Sandy) Anderson was born August 4th, 1949. She graduated from Bemidji High School in 1967. She was in her 2nd year of college when she gave birth to a child. With family support she placed her child for adoption. She was married to Dave Umhauser. Sandy received her MD in 1995 and graduated in 1999 She contacted her daughter in 1998 and met both her daughter and grandchild in 2000. Dave and Sandy were divorced in 1999. Sandy and Richard Aanderud met in Grand Forks and Married in 2001. Sandy worked as an obstetrician in Grand Forks. She traveled to Japan. Her hobbies were playing the cello, loving her dogs and she was very active in her synagogue. Sandy Anderson passed away January 27, 2024.

Proceeded in death by her parents Fran and Chet Anderson. Survived by her husband Richard Aanderud who passed away December 30, 2025, and her child, Kelly and grandchild KJ Tousley.
