Ruth Ann Chock

Ruth Chock, 68, of Bemidji, MN died August 13, 2021, at Sanford Bemidji Medical Center.

Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, August 18, 2021 in St. Philips Catholic Church, Bemidji with Fr. Michael Arey officiating.  Visitation will be 5:00 – 8;00 p.m., Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home, Bemidji and one hour before the Mass at church.    

Ruth Ann Duske was born July 10, 1953, in Minneapolis, MN to Ervin & Annabelle Duske.  Her early years were shaped in Hopkins, MN and later relocated to Annandale, MN where she graduated in 1971.  She held many jobs over the years, but her success was in real estate where she enjoyed being able to help clients close on their properties.  Ruth married the love of her life, Mike Chock, on March 18, 1978, at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Annandale, MN.  In 1984, the family moved to Turtle River Lake near Bemidji.  Ruth enjoyed reading, music and playing the piano.  However, her utmost joy was her family, and she loved being surrounded by her kids and grandkids.

Ruth is survived by her husband, Mike; children, Christina (Shon) Thole, Susan (Chris) Austin, Miranda (Garrett) Smith, Michael (Anna) Chock and Jonathon (Kandi) Chock; 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; brother, Gary (Robin) Chaffins.  She is preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Nick.
