Royce Warren Weinert, 93, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2026 at his Arizona home surrounded by family.
Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 16, 2026 at Northern Bible Church in Bemidji, Minnesota. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
Royce was born October 12, 1932 to Walter & Floy Weinert in Hawley, MN but moved to Bemidji when he was 1 year old. Royce married Blanche Darlene Vincent July 13, 1953. Together they shared 72 years of a remarkable marriage.
Royce was a part of Northern Bible Church since childhood. He served as a devoted elder, board member, and treasurer for many years. Royce, also, served on the board of Youth for Christ and served as a Gideon.
He served his country during the Korean war in the US army as military police from 1953-1955.
Royce had a career of farming, driving school bus, core craft, owned 2 semi trucks and drove for CD Haugen trucking. Then, he was a maintenance supervisor for Superwood Corporation for 25 years.
Royce & Blanche owned a campground, 2 mobile home parks, and a laundromat for multiple years along with doing carpentry work most of his life.
They retired and wintered in Arizona for 40 years during which time he taught himself how to do stained glass work which he thoroughly enjoyed.
Royce is survived by his wife Blanche; their children Richard(Billie Jean) Weinert, Robert(Susan) Weinert, Dawn Grondin, Deborah(Greg) Thompson; 21 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
Royce was proceeded in death by his parents, his brother, 1 grandchild, and 2 great grandchildren.
