March 19, 1951 ~ August 4, 2021

Roxanne Landgren, 70, Bemidji, Minn., died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2021, in Sanford Bemidji Medical Center.

Visitation will begin 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 18, 2021 with Memorial service to follow at 2:00 p.m., in Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home, Bemidji.

Roxanne Marie (Grosfield) Landgren was born to Clayton Arnold Grosfield and Lyleth Erlys Rude on March 19, 1951, in Crookston, Mn; the second of six children.

The family moved to Waukegan, Illinois shortly after and until they relocated to Bemidji, MN the summer of 1968. Roxanne graduated from BHS as class of 1969.

She attended business classes at BSU briefly then worked at Spaulding Motors, as well as Thorson Construction.

She married Clinton Bruce Landgren in January 1977. They had 2 children, Michelle Marie (Landgren) Gonzales and Scott Edward Landgren.

Roxanne moved to Sauk Rapids, MN with her children to attend St. Cloud Beauty College and graduated class of 1985.

In the summer of 1986 she moved to Ada, Mn to be closer to her sister, Monica (Grosfield) Nelson and family.

She attended University of Minnesota, Crookston and graduated as an LPN in 1988, while working full-time at the Ada Nursing Home.

Roxanne loved nursing and continued working as a geriatric nurse for over 20 years.

She retired after moving to Bemidji, Mn in 2008 to be closer to her two children and four grandchildren.

Roxanne was a very caring, creative, artistic, humorous woman who loved all things unique. She loved to travel, go camping with her family, singing in the car, playing cards or board games, movies, cooking, collecting books, reading to her grandchildren, or making up adventure stories of imaginary character, “Chelsey & Duck” at bedtime.

Roxanne said her greatest adventure was taking care of her beloved great grandchild, Alejandro.

Roxanne is survived by her two children, Michelle (Landgren) Gonzales of Bemidji, Scott (Jessie) Landgren of Bemidji. Her four grandchildren, Marcus (Monica Prentice) Gonzales, Andrew Gonzales, Shelby Landgren, Nicholas Gonzales, her great grandson, Alejandro Gonzales. Her sister, Valerie (Sal) Tedeschi, brothers Craig (Deborah) Grosfield, and Dirk (Natalie) Grosfield, several aunts and uncles, nieces, and nephews as well as her fur babies, Dixie & Almond Joy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clayton and Lyleth Grosfield, her sisters, Monica Nelson and Denise Grosfield, ex-husband, Clint Landgren, and her four nephews Brandon and Brett Grosfield, and Derek and Drew Nelson.

Roxanne was a beautiful soul who will be deeply missed.
