Rodney Martin Austin

Rodney Austin, age 93, of Sartell, MN passed away Sunday, October 19, 2025 at the St. Cloud VA Health Care System.

Rodney was born April 13, 1932 to Orville and Sophie (Hillerud) Austin in Sauk Centre, MN. He attended Sauk Centre High school, graduating in 1950. He served as a Sargent in the army until 1955. Rodney graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1970 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. He moved to Bemidji to work with the state of Minnesota and made Bemidiji his home for over 50 years. Rodney was a member of St Bartholomew's Episcopal church in Bemidji. A licensed lay reader with the Episcopal church and a brother in the Grand Lodge of Minnesota.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Sophie Austin, his brother Dean Austin. He is survived by his Brother, Gunther Austin and many nieces and nephews.

Rodney's family would like to thank the staff and residents at St Cloud VA Hospice and Edgewood assisted living for their kindnesses and compassion in Rodney's care.
