Richard "Rick" Emanuel Mintey

Richard (Rick) Mintey passed away on July 18, 2026.

He was born to Wayne and Margaret Mintey of Cass Lake on July 7, 1956. Rick grew up on the family farm in Guthrie and attended Guthrie School for grades 1-6 and then on to Bemidji High School where he graduated in 1974. Rick then went on to the Bemidji Vocational School for Carpentry and spent many years working as a carpenter and roofer. He enjoyed digging through Genealogy and tinkering around with small engines.

Rick is survived by brothers David (Tracy) of Arlington Ohio, Roger Mintey (Jolene) VanBuren, Ohio. Sisters, Patricia Farmer Columbus Grove Ohio, Laura (John) Magnuson Bemidji, MN and Bonnie (Paul) Lindquist Bemidji, MN. One brother-in-law Gary Borgen, Bemidji and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Wayne and Margaret Mintey, Sisters, Barb Borgen and Margaret (Peg) Bundy. and brother-in-law Bob Farmer.

As per Ricks request there will be no service.
