Richard Arlind Larson

Richard Larson, 84, of Bemidji, MN died Sunday, January 25, 2026 at his home surrounded by family.

Private services will be held.

Richard was born August 31st, 1941, the 5th of 7 children. Richard was raised in Bemidji, born to Clarence and Grace Larson.  He loved hunting and fishing, hockey and football.  He attended elementary at Bemidji Lab School and then attended Bemidji High School. He graduated from Bemidji State University and also served in the Air Force between 1961 and 1965. He worked at Lakehead Pipeline and then as an accountant for several years. Richard married Judy (Kastner) on August 24th, 1979. 

He is survived by his brother Loren (Mary Lou), sister-in-law Paula, brother-in-law Raymond, wife Judy, children Eric (Janet), Brian (Val), Kristin (Tom), Trent (Kristi) and 7 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. Judy’s siblings Cliff (Elaine) Kastner, Rodney Kastner and Donna Kastner.

He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Grace, Siblings: Raymond, Roger, Margaret Bennington, Larry, and Nancy Sand.

He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.
