Philip Albers, 61, of Bemidji, MN died Thursday, February 29, 2024 of natural causes.
Memorial Services will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 23, 2024 at the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home, Bemidji. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Inurnment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Bemidji.
Philip John Albers was born September 29, 1962 in Paris, France to Darold and Joy (Batchelder) Albers. The family moved to Arizona when he was a baby and they also lived in Texas, Duluth and then Bemidji where he attended Northern Elementary School. Philip graduated from Bemidji High School. He served in the US Navy on the USS Acadia. after his discharge he moved back to Bemidji working at Potlatch. He received his Class A boiler license and then went to work at Bemidji State University until his retirement. Philip enjoyed riding motorcycles, 4 wheeling and snowmobiling. He bought a pontoon so his dad could go for rides on the lake and a wave runner for the family to enjoy. Family was the most important thing to Philip and was a very devoted son.
He is survived by his siblings, Susan (Dan) Stark, Michael John (Kris) Albers and Linda (Walter Floyd; nieces and nephews, Samantha Albers, John Albers, Jacob Philip Albers, Carl Floyd, Michael (Evonne) Floyd, Laura (James) Matheney and Joy (Leo) Gross and many great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
