Paul Michael Wiese

Paul Wiese, 76, of Bemidji, MN died on Thursday, June 16, 2022, at his home.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, June 20, 2022, at Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home, Bemidji, MN with Pastor Mike Naylor officiating. Visitation is one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Bemidji.

Paul Micheal Wiese was born May 11, 1946, in Bemidji, MN to Rudy & Bertha Wiese. He grew up in Bemidji and graduated from Bemidji High School. After graduation, Paul enlisted in the US Army and was stationed at Ft. Campbell Kentucky and was honorably discharged in October 1967. Paul met and then married Susan Durkin in Sisseton, SD on June 22, 1968. Paul drove truck for the next 15 years to support his growing family. In 1984, he started Wiese Septic Services and operated that until 2005. He then went to work part-time for Walmart until his passing. Paul enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working in his sawmill. His true enjoyment was spending time with his family.

Paul is survived by his wife, Susan; daughter, Ann Wiese; son, Michael Wiese; 7 grandchildren & 10 great grandchildren; brother, Keith (Janet) Wiese. He is preceded by his parents; daughter, Beverly Wiese; sisters, Arlene, Lois, and Pauline; brothers, Jerome, LeRoy, Douglas, and Marvin.
