Patrick Gene Collins

Patrick (Pat) Collins, 64, of Bemidji, MN passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at his home.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Sunday, June 21, 2026 at the Turtle River Townhall (on Cty Rd 20) with a potluck luncheon. Inurnment will be 12:00 p.m., Sunday, June 21, 2026 in Southarm Cemetery. Honorary bearers are his grandkids.

Pat was born March 13, 1962 in Aitkin, MN to William (Bill) Collins and Marie Ann (Domjohn) Fenstemaker. He grew up in the Aitkin-McGregor area. He loved the outdoors where he could hunt and fish. And if you knew Pat he loved coffee, he always had a cup with him. Pat moved to the Bemidji area in 1987 where he met Tammy Steele. They were married in 1988. After they separated, he met Alicia Christenson in 2017 and they started a life together. She was by his side when he passed.

Pat is survived by Alicia and Tammy; sons, Joshua (April) Collins and Matthew (Brittany) Collins; daughter, Dawn (Jason) Jones; step-daughters, Amy Edwards and Emily Christenson (Alicia’s daughter); grandkids, Keegan (Mercedes) Kolodji, Rebecca, Hunter, Addison, Jacob and Avery Collins, Dylan and Tate Jones and Ayden Edwards; sister, Patricia (Nick) Bertrand and many cousin, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son, Ryan William Collins; parents; grandparents; sisters, Donna Dale and Sandra Domjohn.
