Naomi Ruth (Preston) Hunt

Naomi Ruth Hunt, 72, of Bemidji, MN passed away October 21, 2023, at Neilson Place in Bemidji, MN.

A Memorial service will be held Friday October 27, 2023, at 6pm at First Assembly of God Missionary Fellowship in Bemidji, MN with Pastor Jerry Vaughn officiating. Remains to be spread at a private ceremony.

Naomi was born April 2, 1951, in Koochiching County, MN to Theodore and Dorothy (Adams) Preston. She grew up in Sugar Bush Township and Bemidji, MN. She married Warren D. Reynolds on April 11, 1966. After marrying Warren, they made their home in Bemidji, MN. They had 3 children: Laura, Warren Jr. (Chip) and James. Warren and Naomi divorced in 1971.

On November 1, 1974, Naomi married Robbe Maher in Bemidji, MN. They later divorced in 1977.

On September 14, 1979, Naomi married Carl E. Hunt in Bemidji, MN. Carl and Naomi raised her 3 children and his son (Eli Hunt) together in the Bemidji area. They divorced after 37 years in 2017.

Naomi enjoyed traveling to Hawaii, Colorado, New Mexico, South Dakota, and Wyoming before making her permanent home in Pennington, MN. She enjoyed gardening, hiking, painting, carving, and crafting. She cherished spending time with her family making memories particularly with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Naomi was a person deeply rooted in faith and attended church regularly Assembly of God Missionary Fellowship when her health allowed. In January 2022, Naomi was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. She lived every day to the fullest and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter: Laura Reynolds, Bemidji, MN; her son: James Reynolds, Casper, WY; grandchildren: Jasmine Cobbina (Corey Thomas) Bemidji, MN; Nicole Prince ( Carl Ross) Bagley, MN; Michaella Dunham, Benedict, MN; Alicia Smith ( Blake Jones) Benedict, MN; Patrick (Haley) Reynolds, Shevlin, MN; Matthew ( Julie) Reynolds, Casper, WY and Warren Reynolds III, Indianapolis, IN; great-grandchildren: Sophia, Julia, Mary, Breelie, Milo, Leo and Karoline and numerous cousins.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, her siblings: Theodore (Teddy) Preston, Henry Preston, Danie Preston, Hannah Hershey and Roberta Sellner and her son Warren D. Reynolds Jr. (Chip).
