Nancy Carol (Pochardt) Egtvet

Nancy Carol Egtvet, 86, of Bemidji, MN, died Sunday, July 14, 2024, at Havenwood Care Center, Bemidji, MN.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 18, 2024 at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Debs, MN followed with a luncheon at Trinity Lutheran Church, Debs, MN.

Nancy was born April 5, 1938, to Melvin & Alma (Bauch) Pochardt. She lived near Nary, MN with her family. She graduated from Bemidji High School in 1956. She married Arnold Egtvet on June 8, 1956, in Bemidji. They raised their three daughters on their farm near Debs, MN where she enjoyed many hobbies including baking, gardening, quilting, ceramics, and square dancing. She was also an active member at Trinity Lutheran Church. She moved back to Bemidji after her husband passed away. There she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Nancy is survived by her daughters, Carol (Craig) Weigel of Pillager, Jodi Takhar of Duluth, and Wendy (Randy) Tisdell of Bemidji; 6 grandchildren, Angela (Danny) Schmidt of Solway, Hope (Josh) Starr of Bemidji, Melanie Riordon of Concord, New Hampshire, Gavin (Lorna) Weinfurtner of Doha, Qatar, Ria Takhar of Duluth, and Alicia Takhar, Santa Ynez, CA; 8 great grandchildren, Makenna, Madysen and Maya Schmidt; Isabelle, Alexis and Jamesen Starr; Jeffrey and Jason Riordon; sisters, Pat (Robert) Matheny, Bemidji, Sharon (Richard) Lampton, Hibbing, MN; brother, Melvin Pochardt of Virginia and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; son-in-law, Harry Takhar; five sisters, Dorothy Pochardt, Doris Armstrong, Elinor Rikerd, Phyllis Mathiason and Alma Thompson and many other family members.
