Mathis Dudley

Mathis Dudley, 8, of Solway, MN died Monday, February 10, 2020 at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital, Minneapolis.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 15, 2020 at the Tenstrike Community Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the Lake George Cemetery.

Mathis Israel Dudley was born November 1, 2011 in Wisconsin. He came into Shantel and Kent Dudley’s home in April of 2016. His immediate impact to his new family was quite profound. A life that brought beautiful joy to all who were blessed by his presence. Mathis loved his siblings and nieces and nephews and the attention he received from them all. He loved the Minnesota Vikings, music, dancing, traveling, his IPad and camping with his mom and dad and younger brother. He was a second grade student at Solway Elementary School where his fellow classmates grew to love him as well.  Our hearts are broken by his untimely departure however, we know he is watching and caring for us from up above.

He is survived by his parents,  Kent and Shantel Dudley of Solway; brothers, Ryan Dudley, Jeremiah (Devin McKinney) Dudley, Brandon  (Kristina) DeVries, Zachary (Ashley Golombowski) DeVries, Vonte Dudley, Mason Dudley, Daniel Dudley and Christian Carlsen; sisters, Christina Troy, Rebecca (Aaron Bitker) Kahle, Ashley (Brett) Campbell and Victoria Dudley; grandparents, Jack and Bonnie Hinshaw and nieces and nephews, Canaan Perez, Isaiah Perez, Carsyn Troy, Skylar Troy, Alayna Campbell and Emma McDonald.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Laurence and Arlene Dudley; grandma, Eileen Hogoboom and siblings, Raniyah, Zekiah, Jeffrey and Travis.
