Lyle Vernon Ihde

Lyle Ihde, age 86, of Pinewood, MN passed away at his home on Tuesday, June 1, 2021.

A Celebration of life will be 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Saturday, June 12, 2021 at the Eagle’s Club in Bemidji. Inurnment will be in the Pinewood Dodge Cemetery, Pinewood.

Lyle was the first-born child of Ed & Dora Ihde and was born at the farmhouse near Hawley, MN.  After his brother Victor was born, the family moved to the Pinewood area.  He attended East Pinewood school until 8th grade when he began his working career.  He worked as wood cutter, machinist, and a carpenter.  He retired to spend time at his place in Pinewood, after living for a time in Minneapolis, Coon Rapids, and Ramsey.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, snowmobiling, and building.  Family time was important to him and he enjoyed 64 years of marriage to Doris.

Lyle is survived by his wife, Doris; daughters, Barbara (Richard) Reinke and Kathy (Tadd) Ehrenstrom; 5 grandchildren; numerous, great-grandchildren; siblings, Warren (Laura) Ihde, Darlene (Donald) Skerik and Larry (Peggy) Ihde.  He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Victor and sons-in-law, Jack Prell & Shelby Hensley.
