Lydia Ann (Wolf) Stough

The Lord has called our Mother, Lydia Ann Stough, age 93, home on October 5, 2022.

Funeral Services will be at the Olson Schwartz Funeral Home, Bemidji,  Monday, October 10 at 11 o’clock am with visitation one hour prior.  Final committal will be at Eastside Cemetery of Frohn with Pastor Wentzel officiating.

Lydia was born to Dietrich and Mary (Dickman) Wolf on on July 13, 1929 in Spokane WA.  The family moved back to Minnesota residing in Fairmont.  In 1941, she moved to Bemidji, attending Northern Elementary through eighth grade.  She then worked on the farm and in the home until the age of fifteen.  In March of 1946, she went to work for Munsingwear in Bemidji.  Lydia met and married Wendell Stough on August 19, 1946.   She was a housewife and mom for many years until a friend asked if she would do house cleaning.  She went on to be a housecleaner for several years for over fifteen different families.  This was a job she loved, expressing her joy up until the last day of her life. 

Lydia is survived by her four children, daughter Karen Steele and her three children, LeAnn, Brenda (her four children) and Bradley (Angela and their six children), daughter Darlene Stough and her three children,  Becky, Mara (Harvey and their two children), Mandy (Darnell and their child), son Scotty and his children Trista and Adrianna and son Sandy from Onida, South Dakota and his daughter Kayla.

Lydia was preceded in death by her husband, Wendell, an infant daughter, her parents, Dietrich and Mary Wolf, a granddaughter, Charlotte Lydia Stough, four sisters, brother, five bother-in-laws, sister-in-law and nephew.

By the grace of God, I am what I am and his grace to me was not without effect.
