Lloyd Roger Delaney

Lloyd Delaney, 89, of Bemidji, MN passed Sunday, November 5, 2023 at Sanford Bemidji Medical Center.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 11, 2023 at River City Church, Becida. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m., Friday, November 10, 2023 at the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home, Bemidji and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Fern Township Cemetery, Becida.

Lloyd Roger Delaney was born April 2, 1934 in Devils Lake, ND to Franklin and Julia Delaney. As a young boy his family moved near Puposky. Lloyd worked on the Iron Range and then moved back to Bemidji and worked for Kahlstorf Construction in Lake George. He met the love of his life, LeOra Edwards, and they were married on September 12, 1959 in Bemidji. Lloyd finally went to work at Thorson Incorporated in 1970 until his retirement in 1995. Lloyd loved to do anything that would allow him to spend time with his family, hunting, fishing, playing cards, farming and snowmobiling.

He is survived by daughter, Clarinda (Brad) Mullin of Becida, Minn.; sons, Mark (Kris) Delaney of Park Rapids, Minn., Kevin (Teri) Delaney of Burnsville, Minn., Jeff (Cindy) Delaney of Bemidji, Minn. and Greg (Melinda) Delaney of Bemidji, Minn.; 13 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Donna (Al) Boden of Bemidji, Judy (Jim) Langley of Congress, AZ and Bonnie Bundy of Sunrise, AZ.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, LeOra and brothers, Duane, Bob and Lyle.
