Lawrence Charles Fleck Jr passed away on 4/21/2025 at the Benedictine Living Center in Ada, Minnesota.
He was born 9/2/1946 in New Rockford, North Dakota to Lawrence Charles Fleck Sr and Marian Belle Propst. He was raised on the family farm in North Dakota until the family moved to Fargo and later to Pinewood, MN. He built his home in Becida, MN and then later moved to Baker Park Apartments in Bemidji, MN. He graduated high school in Fargo ND. He spent some time living in Nevada working as a bartender and a blackjack dealer. He was member of Carpenters and Joiners of America from November 1975 to March of 1988. He worked on various jobs throughout Minnesota and North Dakota. In 1977 received his State of Minnesota Engineer License-Boiler Division from Northwest Technical College. He enjoyed reading, grouse hunting and making homemade wine. He also enjoyed working with wood, especially making Diamond Willow canes.
He is survived by his friend Carol; his daughter Tawnia (Glen) Heilman; grand children Dustin, Kate; great grand children Dean and Emmett; Nephew David (Kristan) Fleck; Niece Holly Waslaski; Sisters in Law Cathy (Terry) Fleck and Tonneli (Garry Fleck) Christianson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers Terry and Garry; and his nephew Tony St. Peter
Family graveside service will be at Trinity Free Lutheran Cemetery at Pony Lake.
