Kurt James Armstrong

Kurt Armstrong, 59, of Cass Lake, MN, started his journey on October 29, 2025, from the Sanford Medical Center ER, Bemidji, MN.

Funeral Services will be at 12pm Wednesday, November 5th at the White Earth Family Center, 217 2nd Street, Cass Lake, MN.  Mike Needham Officiating.  Visitation begins at 11am, Interment will be at the Prince of Peace Cemetery, Cass Lake, MN. 

Kurt was born at the IHS Indian Hospital in Cass Lake, MN on February 27, 1966.  He became an OTR truck driver and enjoyed auto and small engine repair.  He also enjoyed snowmobiling, dirt biking, fishing and time with family and friends.  He was always helping others when he could, especially with mechanical work.

He will be greatly missed.  It is difficult to say goodbye, but we take comfort in knowing we will see him again in another life and time.

Kurt is survived by his mother Betty Armstrong, his brother Keith Armstrong, his son Kurt Jr., Aunts Marian Longrie, Patricia Masten, and Sharon James, nieces Keri Armstrong, Kayla Armstrong, Kelsey Armstrong, Kasey Armstrong, and Lindsey Matthews, plus numerous cousins, great nieces, and great nephews.

Kurt is preceded in death by his father James Armstrong, grandparents Frances Masten and Bill James, great grandparents Mary and Charles Adams and Annie Sloan, and his Uncles Harold Adams, Michael Masten, Donald Masten, and Gerald Masten.

The family would like to thank the Bemidji Dialysis Center for taking such care of Kurt during his weekly visits, and to Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home for the respectful care during our time of loss.
