Kenneth Paul Liberty, 90, of Bemidji, MN passed away Monday, March 9, 2026.
Kenneth was born in St. Paul, MN on February 24, 1936 and graduated from Stillwater High School in 1955. He served in the Air Force, then worked in the airline industry up until retirement from Northwest Airlines in 1993. Kenneth married Roberta Mae Hubbard in 1964. Kent and Roberta enjoyed a lifetime of traveling and adventures with and without the kids. After retirement they hit the road in their RV and traveled North America for several years with adventures along the way such as whitewater river rafting in California and Montana, the Calgary Stampede in Canada, to lobster fishing in Nova Scotia in Newfoundland and glider planes in Florida plus many more adventures in between.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Roberta; parents, Paul and Dorothy (Amundson) Liberty and sister, Rita Reinsubrg.
He is survived by children, David, Gary, Michelle (Mike Schahz) and Michael “Otis”; grandchildren, Jamie, Brittany and Drew and great-grandchildren, Nora, Logan, Parker, Madison, Avery and Oliver; brothers, Bobby, Paul Jr., Betty (Peltier) and Pauline (Weir) and many beloved nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at “The Post” American Legion, 101 3rd St. S., Stillwater, MN 55082, 1-4 p.m., Saturday April 25, 2026. Inurnment will be at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
