Keith Krause, 46, of Bemidji, MN died Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at Neilson Place, Bemidji, after a courageous 8 year battle with cancer.
Memorial Services will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at First Lutheran Church, Bemidji. A Time of Sharing will be 5-7 p.m., Monday, October 4, 2021 at the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home, Bemidji and one hour prior to the service at the church. Inurnment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Bemidji.
Keith Michael Krause was born January 17, 1975 in Minneapolis, MN to Curtis and Carol Krause. He grew up in Bemidji and graduated from Bemidji High School. On April 5, 1997 he married Amy Olson in First Lutheran Church, Bemidji. They later divorced. He started work with Spee-Dee Delivery in September 1997 and worked his way up from driver to eventually manager of the Bemidji office. Keith retired from his position on December 7, 2016 due to cancer. These last few years he was able to pursue many of his interests and hobbies. Keith enjoyed gardening, navigating the country without a map, sports, history and music but his most cherished part of life was being a dad. Keith was a history buff and sports enthusiast. He named his dog, Geddy Lee Glen Danzig Van Frankenstein Krause but calls her GG, after his favorite rock stars, Glenn Danzig and Geddy Lee. Influenced by The Who, he learned to play the drums and bass guitar, taking multiple lessons and owning 3 drum sets and multiple guitars.
He is survived by his daughter, Katelin Krause; sons, Kyle and Brady; sisters, Karen and Kelly Krause and aunts, Lois (Carl) Schultz and Jane (Pat) Salden.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
