Kay was a Culinary Artist for 18 years, serving residents at Hatton Prairie Village some favorite menus included German potato salad and creamy tomato soup. Many asking for second helpings. Cooking was a special gift of hers. Her recipe for “Spoon Fudge” is untouchable; seriously it has never been given to anyone including her daughters.
Her hobbies included spending time with family, friends and neighbors. Crocheting that won her many ribbons at the Beltrami County Fair. Her legacy was intricate beautiful crocheted projects. We estimate she crocheted enough thread and yarn to encircle the earth may times over; and gave most of it away. Detail coloring, puzzles, card playing, Bingo, and crafts. Her hands were never idle.
We her family seriously appreciate her selfless sacrifices and various lessons for life, like respect, manners and love. She was an incredible loving woman, wishing success and happiness for each and every one of her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, several siblings, her first born granddaughter Tara Jane.
