Jo-Anne Ardell (Jensen) Bahr

Jo-Anne A. Bahr of Bemidji passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at Sanford Bemidji Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, June 8 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the Bemidji Eagles.

Jo-Anne Ardell Bahr was born March 16, 1939 in Albert Lea, MN to Mervel and Ella Jensen.

She grew up and graduated from Bemidji High School in 1957 and on August 12, 1961 she married Gilbert Bahr. After her retirement from City Hall as a bookkeeper her and Gilbert started wintering in Yuma, AZ. They got 20 wonderful years, however her pride and joy was spending time with her family. She also enjoyed having coffee with her friends on Tuesday mornings and happy hour with friends and neighbors in Deep Rock Loop.

Jo-Anne is survived by daughters, Kim (Tim) Pollock of Bemidji and Kristi (Jay) Ness of Roseau; grandchildren, Aaron (Samantha) Ness, Abby (Jared) Kolquist, Haley (Colton) Pollock and Alex Pollock and 2 great-grandchildren, Carter and Henrik Ness.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert; parents; sister, Marvel and brothers Richard and Eugene.
