Jeanette Ann (Olson) Downey

Jeanette Ann (Olson) Downey 86 was born on August 17, 1934 of Bemidji, MN passed away peacefully on Monday, March 29, 2021 at Neilson Place, Bemidji.

A graveside memorial will be held on August 14, 2021 at 1 p.m. at the Northwoods Cemetery, Hines with a luncheon to follow at the Blackduck Golf Course.

 Jeanette was born to E. Robert and Millie (Adams) Olson in Dassel Minnesota. She graduated from Blackduck High School. Jeanette was united in marriage to Cleve R. Downey on September 10, 1952

Together with her husband they lived in Norfolk, Virginia, Two Harbors, Hines and Bemidji MN. She worked at Highway Host and various cooking jobs in her life. Her greatest love was coffee with her husband and bird watching and seeing her children and grandchildren and her bonus grandchildren and cooking all of us chicken dumpling soup, along with her apple tree she planted from a seed and her flowers and plants.

Survived by Daughters, Gail (Robert) Butler, Bowman, ND and Angela (Gary) Coan, Bemidji, MN; Sons, Rick (Chris) Downey, Brandon, SD; Jeff (Penny) Downey, Bemidji, MN and James (Diana) Downey, Manhattan, IL. 14 Grandchildren, 28 Great-Grandchildren and Numerous Great Blessings, sister-in-law Janet Olson.

Preceded in Death by her Husband Cleve, an infant grandson Benjamin Butler, Her parents Robert and Millie Olson, Sisters, Eloise, Lucille, Mary and Brothers, LeRoy, Lyle, Carl, Don and Billy.

Her family would to thank the Nielson Place Family who took such good care of her.
