Jane Elliot (Terres) Tesar

Jane Elliot Tesar, 66, of Bemidji, MN died Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at Sanford Bemidji Medical Center.

Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at St. Philip’s Catholic Church, Bemidji with Fr. Chuck Huck officiating. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Monday, July 16, 2018 with a 7 p.m. prayer service at the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home, Bemidji. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Bemidji.

Jane Elliot Tesar was born in Bemidji to Terry and Gracie Terres on September 5, 1951. After attending St. Philip’s she graduated from Bemidji High School in 1970. She then met her husband of 32 years and father of their nine children. Jane was a dedicated mother, wife, grandmother and a maternal figure to all she met. Her expertise in numerous fields provided the means to support her family and loved ones. Working as a switchboard operator, serving you a coffee with a smile or caring for you in your home, our mother’s compassionate heart warmed those lucky enough to have known her. She welcomed everyone with open arms and always had a shoulder or solution to offer. Having instilled in us the importance of family, service to others and holding true to our values, she lives eternally within all of us. Her giving nature defined her. Janie set an example of pure love, sharing and radiating her light wherever she went.

She is survived by her children, Cynthia (Levi Thorson) Tesar of Bemidji, Kathleen (Daniel Gordon) Tesar of Bemidji, Kimberly Tesar of Bemidji and Joanna (Jonathan) Budd of Rochester, MN;  Grandbabies, Jyha, Becca, Nico, Kaleisha, Faith, Landin, Zoë and Aubree; dearest friends; brothers, Peter (Nancy) Terres of Boston, MA, Robert (Wendy) Terres of Orlando, FL, Timothy (Pat) Terres of Sioux City, IA and Scott Terres of Naples, FL and sisters, Jeanne (John) Adolfson of Spokane, WA and Christine Terres of Gainesville, FL.

She was preceded in death by her children, Christopher, Heather, Terry Jo, Patrick Edward and Josephine; love of her life Joe Tesar; parents, Terry and Gracie and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
