Ivan Willard Lindstrom passed away February 21, 2022 at the age of 88.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 28, 2022 at St. Philip’s Catholic Church, Bemidji. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m., Sunday, February 27, 2022 at St. Philip’s Catholic Church with a 4 pm prayer service.

Ivan was born June 8th, 1933 to Albert and Lily Lindstrom. He grew up on a farm east of Argyle and graduated from Crookston Agricultural School where he excelled in sports. 

Ivan married Joyce LaBine December 20th 1952. They were married for 69 years.

Ivan farmed and worked as a carpenter most of his life. He loved remodeling homes and building beautiful furniture and cabinets. Ivan loved Minnesota sports and hardly missed a Twins, Vikings, or Gopher game! He also loved spending time at Lake of the Woods fishing in the summer. 

Ivan has enjoyed & looked forward to the annual family Christmas gatherings and the Lindstrom Family Reunion for the past 50 years.

Everyone who met Ivan commented on his big smile, gentle soul, and loving heart.

Ivan was preceded in death by his parents: Albert and Lily, brothers: Harold and Floyd, and sisters: Bernice, Alyce, Irene and Evelyn. 

Ivan is survived by his wife Joyce and their children: Karen Riopelle (Robert), Katherine McClure (Robert), Kim Burd (Ronald), Kevin Lindstrom (Marlene), and Kyle Lindstrom (Janet); 11 grandchildren: Matthew, Kelly, Holly, Sarah, Elizabeth, Megan, Carlye, Aaron, Melissa, Christine and Andrew, 25 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, memorial preferred to the Alzheimer’s Association.
