Ilyanna E Mix

Ilyanna E. Mix, 22, passed away on August 17, 2025. She was born on May 21, 2003, in Bemidji, Minnesota to Jesse and Jeana.

Memorial Services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home, Bemidji. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Ilyanna was welcomed into her family by her older sister Jaleah and later became the older sister of Breven and Addilyn. In 2021, Ilyanna bravely joined the United States Air Force as a C-130 Crew Chief, where she served with pride and dedication. She arrived at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in 2022, where she continued to serve until the time of her passing. As the top Airman in her Squadron, she earned the rank of Staff Sergeant as a direct result of her positivity, aptitude, devotion, and exceptional service.

She married her late husband, Zachary Watkins, in September of 2024, where she also gained the two of the greatest sources of pride and joy in her life, her two step-children, Oliver and Nathan, whom she loved deeply.

She is survived by her mother, Jeana, her father, Jesse, her stepmother, Amanda, her stepfather, Bryan, and her siblings, Jaleah, Breven, and Addilyn, as well as many other cherished members of her extended family and her friends.

Ilyanna will be remembered for her unwavering kindness, endless charisma, and positive spirit. She had great love for literature, motorcycles, fitness, and music. She showcased her incredible singing voice at many ceremonies and countless karaoke nights. Her patience and loyalty extended indiscriminately to all, and she was a safe space for anyone that she spoke to. In her career, she took initiative, helped others, and created an enjoyable setting in an otherwise challenging environment.

Her selfless dedication to her family, friends, and country was unparallelled and her legacy of kindness will continue to inspire all who knew her.
