Henry (Hank) J. Marynik (84) of Bemidji, MN passed peacefully with his family by his side on April 10, 2025 in Bemidji.
He was born in Warsaw, ND on January 23rd,1941 and grew up in Grand Forks, ND. He graduated from Central High School and married his high school sweetheart, Gloria Sannes. They loved each other for 64 years with a love sought after by many. He began his lifetime career at Grand Forks Grocery at 18 years old retiring after 45 years of dedicated work.
Welcoming, gracious, and generous are just a few of the words that describe Hank. He was a lover of all things sports. Hunting, fishing, softball, basketball, bowling, baseball, and football, whether playing or watching, were some of his favorite pastimes. But his biggest loves were God and his family. Hank was a man of strong faith. He attended First Baptist Church and cherished his church family deeply. He treasured his time with his loved ones. His happiest times were the moments he spent with his family. His selfless and joyful nature made memories and lasting impressions for everyone he met.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Gloria Marynik of Bemidji, MN, daughters Cindy (Barry) Bingham of Crookston, MN, Tammy (Seyi) Adetunji of Bemidij, MN. Grandchildren Tyler Hviding, Jordon (Morgan) Hviding, Riley Hviding, Josh Carlson, Kayla (Bryce) Young, Isaiah Rintala, Tahlia Rintala, Makenah (Sam) Newton, Enny Adetunji, and Samuel Adetunji. Great grandchildren Holden, Stella, Wesley and Watson Hviding, Ivy Young, and Hailey Newton as well as many other extended family.
Henry was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Nettie Marynik, his brothers Joseph and Duane Marynik, and his daughter Lori Carlson.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025, 2:00 pm at First Baptist Bemidji located at 1555 Paul Bunyan Dr. NW Bemidji, Mn. Visitation will be an hour prior to the service at the church.
Burial services will be held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 11:00 am at Memorial Park Cemetery 1003 N 23rd St Grand Forks, ND with a short memorial service.
