Gloria Florance (Gladen) Bannor, 76, went to the Lord’s loving arms on Wednesday August 7th surrounded by her family at Autumn Hills in Bemidji after a 30 month battle with Pancreatic Cancer.
Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at Malvik Lutheran Church, Guthrie with Rev. Jeb Monge officiating. Family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Malvik Lutheran Cemetery, Guthrie. Arrangements were entrusted to the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bemidji.
Gloria was born May 31, 1943 to Florance (Bruhn) Gladen and James Gladen in Bemidji, Minnesota and spent her early years living on her parents’ farm in Nary. She attended school at the Nary Grade School and Bemidji High Schools. She was baptized, confirmed and renewed her vows at Malvik Lutheran Church in Nary. She married her high school sweetheart Henry Lee Bannor September 11, 1961. Gloria retired from Bemidji State University after 48 years in 2007. She loved the Bemidji State Beavers and her work with their athletic department. After retiring she and her husband expanded their travel efforts reaching 52 countries, 49 states and 3 territories. Gloria loved spending time with her family and friends and is survived by her spouse, Henry Lee Bannor, her daughter Cindi Lee (Michael) Jernigan, grandsons Justin and Josh Jernigan, two sisters; Sandrea (Leroy) Stenstrom, Rebecca (Ronald) Komulainen, brother; Jim (Dess) Gladen and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents James and Florance Gladen.
Memorials are preferred to Malvik Lutheran Church, Guthrie, MN.
