Jerry was born March 16, 1936 in Rogers, MN to Lawrence & Aurelia Weber. He grew up in the Rogers area where he worked for his father. He met and married the love of his life, Darlene Scherber on August 6, 1955 in St. Martin’s Catholic Church in Rogers. He started his career in the restaurant business by owning and operating the Web Ball Room in Rogers. In 1964, they sold and moved to the Fargo, ND area where Jerry & Darlene partnered in the Highway Host Restaurants. This would allow them to help open many restaurants in numerous communities within the region finally settling in Bemidji, MN in 1974. They proudly owned and operated the Highway Host and Backyard Restaurant in Bemidji until the late 1990’s when they retired. Retirement did not suit Jerry’s sociable personality, so he joined the Car Quest team where he worked until 2018. Jerry enjoyed music, playing the accordion, old cars, watching and feeding his birds, cooking and was also a fervent reader.
