Born and resided in Huntingdon, PA until he enlisted in the Navy. He enlisted in the Vietnam era and served as a subtender off the coast of Vietnam. After Vietnam his career took him to California where he served the rest of his enlistment as a draftsman. He later held the position of Environment Protection Specialist, GS-12, at the Naval Civil Engineering Laboratory in Port Hueneme, CA. He retired to Tenstrike, MN where he spent time fishing and enjoying the peace and nature. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler his whole life.
He is survived by his wife Linda of 34 years, a step-daughter Leala Sparks (Shawn Enfield); a step son Robert Sparks (Rochelle Sparks), grandsons, Eric Boggan, Shawn Boggan, Jake Enfield, Bradley Sparks, Preston Sparks, Aidan Sparks, and a granddaughter Aariya Sparks. He has two great children, Liam Boggan, and Claire Boggan. Numerous cousins nieces and nephews. He has a brother Mike McNeal (Linda) and a sister Lena Keller (Rick) both of Huntingdon, a *cousin/brother Mike Richards (Jane)
Predeceased by his mother Betty Jane McNeal and father Harold McNeal. Two brothers, Donnie Myers and Denny McNeal, and sister Louise Bert.
