Garrett Otto Larson

Garrett Otto Larson, 15, of Blackduck, MN died Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at Sanford Bemidji Medical Center, from injuries sustained when struck by a vehicle while getting the mail.

Garrett was born on February 14, 2005 along with his twin sister Ella. Garrett just finished 9th grade at Blackduck High School. He was involved in Robotics, Drama, 1 Act Play, band and golf.  Garrett loved riding dirt bike, ATV and snowmobile. He was your go-to guy for any computer issues that needed solving. Garrett enjoyed being an amateur photographer who loved taking and sharing his photos of the night sky and nature.  Garrett was known to make the best brownies ever, he enjoyed baking. He enjoyed the yearly ritual of gathering at the hunting cabin with all his family. His bright smile and his readiness to give you a hug will be greatly missed. 

A Celebration of Life will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 6, 2020 at Garrett’s home, 30656 Hwy 72 NE, Blackduck, MN with Pastor Peter Rosenkvist and Pastor Amanda Kossow officiating. Family will greet friends beginning at noon prior to the service.

He is survived by his parents, Scott and Rachel Larson of Blackduck; twin sister, Ella Larson of Blackduck; maternal grandfather, Randy (Teri) Bauer of Blackduck; paternal grandparents, Gary and Beverly Larson of Blackduck; maternal great-grandmother, Patricia Bauer of Blackduck; paternal great-grandmother, Elizabeth “Grandma Great” Reiplinger of Blackduck and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandfather, Clinton Bauer; paternal great-grandparents, Otto and Delores Larson; paternal great-grandfather, Robert Reiplinger and uncle, Chris Bauer.

Due to the current COVID-19 situation, family is understanding to those that are unable to attend. It is an option to wear a mask, but not required. Please bring a lawn chair to sit in.
