Frances Lillian Skerik

Frances L. Skerik, 87, of Bemidji, MN formerly of Debs, MN died Monday, March 6, 2023 at Neilson Place, Bemidji.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home, Bemidji. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in the spring in Buzzle-Osterdalen Cemetery, Pinewood.

Frances Skerik was born August 14, 1935 at home in Debs to Joe and Bertha (Roen) Skerik. She went to the Debs school and graduated from Bemidji High School. Frances worked in Bemidji at Northwestern Bell Telephone and then on to nursing school and became an LPN. She went to St. Paul working at the Samaritan Hospital in St. Paul. She moved back to Bemidji in 1990.

She is survived by her sister, Arlene (Dick) Johnson; brothers, Donald (Darlene) Skerik and Lester Skerik and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Gladys (Phil) Sickel and brothers, Joe Skerik and Jim Skerik.
