Evelyn Lauraine (Stenstrom) Bahr

Evelyn Lauraine (Stenstrom) Bahr, age 93, went to be with the Lord, Friday, October 18, 2019 at Fair Oaks Lodge in Wadena, Minnesota. 

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 26, 2019, at First Assembly of God in Bemidji, Minnesota. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Bemidji. Arrangements were entrusted to Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bemidji.

Evelyn was born to Andrew and Alvira (Wold) Stenstrom on April 21, 1926 in Bemidji, Minnesota. Evelyn attended Lincoln Elementary, Bemidji High School and Bemidji State Teacher's College.  She was united in marriage to Floyd Bahr and divorced, again united in marriage to Pete Stone and divorced.  She taught in public schools in Boy River, Kelliher, Grand Rapids, Remer and Bemidji, Minnesota. She was a faithful Christian, wife and a hard worker.

Evelyn was preceded in death by infant son Arthur Bahr, father, mother, brother Joseph, sister Marian Johansen and husbands Floyd and Pete.

Evelyn is survived by children Thomas (Carrie), David, Lauran Bahr and Nedra (Bahr) Bertram; grandchildren Kevin (Dorothea) and Charles (Hope) Bahr, Adam and Jeremy Bertram, and Shasta (Robert) Bertram-Squires; great grandchildren Isaac, Emma, Ethan, Elise Bahr and Gabriela Squires; sisters Elisabeth (Eldon) Christiansen and Harriet Tesch; brothers, Kenneth (Romayne) Stenstrom, Arvid Stenstrom, Stanley (Sandy) Stenstrom and LeRoy (Sandrea) Stenstrom and many nieces and nephews.
